“ I do not come to this area to much and it appears the area is dated which has deterred me from trying out some eateries in the area but I have been missin out! This Tasty Pizza has an extremely homie vibe. You walk in and there is friendly staff with huge smiles and you feel welcomed from the moment you step inside. They have a staff member named Tyrus and this brotha is on another level. He knows hospitality like anyone else and this guy treats you well. Not only was Tyrus and team fantastic but the pizza...wow!!!! This pizza exceeded my expectations! The ingredients were fresh as can be and they did not skip out on the cheese and boy was it saucy. I struggle to find decent pizza places that know how to sauce it up! My mother and I ate an entire Large wanting more!!! I will be back!! Thanks so much for the experience and I hope others give this place a try as well. ”
“ Hometown favorite. I've been eating pizza here for years. Tried a gluten-free crust for the first time. I was actually pretty impressed, a bit crispy on the edges and slightly chewier than the familiar Tasty pizza crust. I could not tell it was gluten-free at all. One of the owners, Joe, offered the Pizza free, if I didn't like it. I did not take him up on the offer. I enjoyed the pizza very much. ”
“ My review. It's not based off of eating in the restaurant, but stepping in the door to try to order pizza to go. When I pulled up to the restaurant in Google, it said it closed at 11 o'clock PM I got there 20 minutes before 11, stepped in the door and they said they were closed. Then I'm like, okay, that's not what your advertisement said, that's what I was thinking to myself. Whoever spoke to me and came in the door right before me with a delivery bag, told me this. He was talking to me as if I didn't understand. Like, possibly, I spoke another language, not sure what his problem was, but it was kinda rude. I'll be back to get a pizza eventually. it was just a little unpleasant for your first impression of a restaurant. I heard the pizza is very good. I went back the next evening and I got there at 9:15.plenty of time to order the pizza. It was excellent. Next time, I'll ask them if they can put the pepperonis on top, I like them crispy, but the pizza is very good. It has a good tasting sauce and I like the pizza crust Not too many people make their crust like they make theirs, and I love the flavor of that crust and the crispiness. I definitely will be returning. ”
“ Love this Restaurant/Bar! It's a staple of Columbia Heights! Grew up in Heights and always back for Tasty's! Used to come here with my dad back in the day and watch black and white quarter tvs! There pizza, drinks and other menu is delicious! Great quick service from Brandi last night as well as Melea is a rockstar who helps us often as well. Marcy on pull tabs is always a pleasure also!! They also have specials, live music, bingo and trivia!! Karaoke!! ”
“ Got the Sassy D pizza. It is a classic square-cut family style pizzeria with generous, quality ingredients. It was just greasy enough for me to need a couple of paper towels, but not so greasy that I needed more towels. Normally I am a pig and eat entire portions in one sitting, but this pizza was made with such heartiness and TLC that I felt full after only half. A bit on the expensive side, but I did absolutely get the quality TLC that I paid for. Now I can see why this place has been around since the 60s! ”

It has never ever disappointed and I'm writing this the next morning wanting to come back and have more. Easily one of the best pizza places in the country.
